Message from Principal Morrow

June 3, 2018

The Merced Union High School District and Buhach Colony take any mention of a possible threat in our schools very seriously, as student and staff safety is our utmost priority. On Friday, June 1st, a student reported overhearing another group of students, who were discussing a situation that could potentially pose a threat to Buhach Colony on Monday, June 4th. The Atwater Police Department and Merced County Sheriff's Office were immediately notified and began investigating.

At this time, law enforcement officers have found no evidence of a credible threat. As a precaution, the Atwater Police Department will provide a heavy police presence on and about Buhach Colony Monday morning to help ensure the safety of all students and staff. Again, this will be a precautionary measure, as no credible threat to Buhach Colony has been established. Thank you.
